About Massachusetts Biomedical Initiatives
MBI supports early stage life science companies with private BL2 lab suites, equipment, and support services including our Entrepreneur in Residence program and BOLT initiative that builds experienced teams around first time entrepreneurs. MBI has helped start over 150 companies including T.Breeders (now part of Perkin Elmer), Blue Sky Bioservices (now part of Lake Pharma), Biocytogen, Convergent Dental and others. Our mantra is "All About Our Companies" and we're dedicated to their success. MBI is a nonprofit economic development organization that also supports new lab development and life science workforce development.
