SBI & Capital 22 is a joint venture fund backed by SBI Holdings (TYO: 8473) in Tokyo. Starting from 2009, we have invested more than USD $20M in local startups. SBI Holdings, once Softbank Investment back in 2005, is now the largest online security brokerage company in Japan and also one of the largest VC and PE in Asia. SBI owns more than 230 subsidiaries across the globe and manages more than 23 million client accounts. For the past 20 years, SBI has been actively invested more than 700 companies and among them, more than 130 companies successfully went IPO or acquired. SBI & Capital 22 is now operated by Mr. Steve Ro, a successful serial entrepreneur who founded InterVideo in 1998 and brought it to IPO on NASDAQ in 2003; and Judy Lee, a famous early stage venture investor in Taiwan who has co-founded the venture capital fund of Acer Group. As of now, SBI & Capital has achieved 5 IPOs, including PCHome, AirTec, GCS, Redwood, and CCMG in Taiwan TWSE. We focus on startups which have strong connection with Taiwan and invest in the stage from Pre-A to B. Our initial investment size is USD $1M~$2M and our target industry include AI, IoT, AR/VR, Blockchain, Robotics, Energy, Material, Semiconductor, Cloud, and e-Commerce.
