About Deutsche Bahn Digital Ventures

Deutsche Bahn Digital Ventures (DBDV) is the corporate venture arm of Deutsche Bahn Group, Germany’s largest railway company and leading mobility provider. With funds of €100 million, DBDV intends to invest in startups with data-driven business models in the areas of Mobility, Logistics, Smart City, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data. All within and beyond Deutsche Bahn’s core rail businesses. Investments will be sourced on a global basis, with emphasis on Europe, the United States and Israel. Funding is provided for startups from the Seed to Series C stage, with significant possibilities for follow-up funding. Alongside external investments, DBDV also is focused on promoting intrapreneurship inside the Deutsche Bahn Group and is working closely together with the group’s existing startup engagement platform Beyond1435 to leverage the acceleration of financed startups.
