Sapient Capital is a venture capital fund formed to help visionary entrepreneurs and executives build value in new healthcare related businesses. The fund is focused exclusively on healthcare, with an emphasis on medical device firms targeting novel solutions to satisfy large unmet medical needs. Capitalized at $26 million, Sapient Capital is partnering with a select group of innovative companies. Sapient Capital focuses on seed, start-up and early stage companies. In addition, the fund will make private equity investments in healthcare related companies that are already public, as long as their market capitalizations are under $150 million.
