About Kent State University

Kent State University is an established university in Kent, Ohio, that offers a wide range of academics and student life opportunities. Freshmen admissions requirements include a minimum GPA of 2.5, a college prep curriculum and a minimum ACT score of 21 or combined critical reading and math SAT score of at least 980. Those who do not meet these requirements may, however, still be put on the waitlist and potentially gain admission to Kent. Kent State offers need-based financial aid awards like Pell grants, state grants, work-study and loans. To apply for these sources of aid, applicants will need to fill out a FAFSA. Graduate students may apply for fellowships or assistantships.
